The Plattduetsche Home Society is a vibrant senior living community where you will have the support of warm, compassionate staff who always go the extra mile.
As the family member of a recent resident told us, “Plattduetsche Home Society staff members did everything possible to accommodate requests to enhance my mother’s stay there. There were innumerable times that the staff went above and beyond,” including installing extra handrails and fulfilling special requests for the Plattduetsche Park restaurant’s famous hot pretzels.
The Plattduetsche Home Society has been caring for Long Island seniors since 1923. We have been a part of the Franklin Square community since a trolley ran down Hempstead Turnpike on a raised track. When we opened nearly 100 years ago, 28 seniors called the Plattduetsche home. Since then, we have expanded six times and evolved to fit the changing times.
Throughout our history, The Ladies Society has been an integral part of our success. We are the beneficiary of this group of dedicated women who work diligently to raise funds to improve our residents’ quality of life. Over the years, they have held many fundraisers, including the Strawberry Festival, to help provide our seniors with those little extras not found elsewhere.
